Interests

My research is focused on the analysis of the mechanisms of sex determination and differentiation in turbot. I am interested both in the characterization of the genes involved in these processes and in the conservation analysis of the genomic regions in which these genes are located in other species of fish. The study of this relevant productive character in fish, is addressed globally integrating genetic and physical mapping, citogenomics, gene expression and comparative genomics analysis.
